It is essential for children to understand the importance of the Rule of Law and we support this through our:
School rules: Clear expectations about behaviour is displayed throughout school and reviewed regularly.
Assertive Discipline: A reward and sanction system where good behaviour is recognised and rewarded, with clear consequences for negative behaviour.
BEST points: Points are awarded via Class Dojo, children are awarded badges in increments.
BEST certificates: Awarded to pupils who have demonstrated Holbrook BEST
BEST Emporium: Children who demonstrate consistently positive behaviour via BEST points visit the emporium to choose an item to take home
Visits: Visits to/from our local Police, Fire Service, City Councillor and Magistrates are arranged.
Jigsaw Charter. A set of rules to adhere to during PSHE and RE.
Classroom Charter: Each class agree on a set of expectations to create a positive learning environment.
Discussion Guidelines: Each class agree initially on 3 expectations that all children follow during any class discussions. These expectations are reviewed regularly.
